Troubleshooting Issues with Your Account


What happens when you remove your GrabCAD account?

We immediately delete your GrabCAD account, models, and renderings. We leave public content (like your comments and questions) on the site, but show them with an anonymous name. Your account data may also remain on a backup server or media. GrabCAD keeps these backups to ensure our continued ability to provide service to our members in the event of a malfunction or damage to our primary production servers.


Why does your account say it was blocked?

If your models or posts do not meet GrabCAD Community guidelines, then your account may be blocked or removed depending on the situation. You will see a message at the top of your page that tells you about a block on your account. It is a general message that says it's for spam, but the block it could be for any problem within our guidelines. We take each report seriously and know that your account block may be a mistake. Please contact us at  cad-responsibly@grabcad.com, with questions or requests to remove the block. 


Do you have to reset your password every time you visit?

If GrabCAD gives you an error and asks you to reset your password every time you visit, it may have to do with your browser settings. We recommend clearing your browser cache and making sure that your browser is updated to the newest version. Not sure how to do this? Here are tips for  resetting your browser cache via wikiHow. If this doesn’t work for you, it's possible that you could have more than one GrabCAD account and it is causing problems. Please contact problem-solvers@grabcad.com and we’ll help you troubleshoot.


Forget your password or can't login?

Go to  grabcad.com/account_access and enter your email. We will email you a link to reset your password. Your link will expire after a few hours to protect your account. If this happens, request another one. If no email arrives after an hour, contact problem-solvers@grabcad.com for help.

We protect your account if there are too many attempts to login. If we lock your account for this reason, we'll send an email to let you know. This email will have a link for you to release the block or you can try again after 20 minutes.


Problems confirming your account through email?

If you don't get your confirmation email an hour after signing up, please check your spam folder. If you don't find it there, it’s likely that GrabCAD’s email was blocked by your email provider. Don't worry, we can confirm your account manually. Please contact  problem-solvers@grabcad.com and we'll help you.
